Ms. Williams says:
"I will share with you some of the fascinating bits of information about fairies and their ways that lay embedded like tiny, sparkling gems in the fabric of our ancient folk tales and legends. Finally, should you choose to take the mythical path that could lead to Fairyland, I leave you with the traditional warning: The inhabitants of Faerie do not always trust mortals, so you must remember to tread softly, mind your manners, be unwaveringly honest and trustworthy, and, above all, keep your wits about you for you never know what's going to happen next in the wonderful land of "Once-upon-a-time."

Bringing Your Own Building Materials
You are encouraged to bring your own building materials, but the following guidelines must be followed:
Rules for Fairy and Hobbit House Construction
You are encouraged to bring your own building materials, but the following guidelines must be followed:
Rules for Fairy and Hobbit House Construction
- Pick any theme you can dream up.
- Use natural materials, such as grasses, leaves, sticks, moss, pebbles, shells, tree bark, seed pods, acorns, berries, gourds, bird’s nests, pumpkins, pinecones and flowers. Here's a link to inspiration: https://www.fairyhouses.com/pictures .
- Please do not add a fairy or gnome to your design. We wish to leave this interpretation up to the child's imagination.
- No Ash Tree parts or sticks larger than 1" in diameter may travel across state lines due to the need to control tree-killing insects and diseases.
- Traditionally all houses must appear to be made from natural components. If you have a unique idea, we are encouraging creativity. Hot glue, acrylic spray, twine and other man made items can be used for the strength of the structure. Avoid paper products, and materials that don't hold up in dampness.
- Platforms or bases make delivery and installation easier, but should be concealed with natural materials when installed. Please use a sturdy base that can hold up if wet (such as plywood).
- Houses must be portable. You must be able to deliver it to our trail.
- If you use any items of value in the house, be aware that Bedrock Gardens is not responsible for any loss or damage, and the houses are not guarded.
- Include your name, as well as the name of the house (if it has one).
- Featured Designer Houses must be dropped off at Bedrock Gardens Wed. Oct 3 from 2 to 6pm, Thurs Oct 4 from noon to 5pm.
- Featured Designer Houses must be removed Sat. Oct 6 from 4 to 6pm or Tues Oct 9 by appointment with Peggy Tucker or they become the property of Bedrock Gardens.
