    A public Garden Highlights Tour led by a trained garden volunteer on the Saturdays we are open. This tour is a gift of entrance donation. Sign up upon arrival at the entrance kiosk on a first come first served basis.

    Groups may prebook a personalized private Group Garden Tour led by an expert guide Monday through Friday by emailing Kate Bashline, Community Outreach Coordinator 
    kbashline@bedrockgardens.org. The cost is $20 per person with a $250 minimum.
    ​Parking
    ​
    There is somewhat limited parking at the garden, and there is no parking on High Road for our events. Preference will be given to the handicapped and to the infants with strollers. Once our parking area is full, we have arranged free off-site parking with shuttle vans at Mastway School, 23 Mast Road, Lee. They will be leaving about every 15 minutes. You could go directly there.

    Mastway School is located at 23 Mast Road in Lee, 2.9 miles from the garden. The nearest town is Durham, home of the University of New Hampshire. Click Here for a map and directions.

    There are three handicapped spaces at the garden. You must have a handicapped sticker to use them. They are on a first come, first served basis.

    General public: Admitted at 10 am.
    Garden Closes at 4 pm.
    Fundraising Event Admission : $15 Adults, $5  Children ages 3 to  12

    Find the Fairy Frog. Look for the hidden Fairy Frog on our fairy trail.Take a phone photo of it (even better with you in it). Then show it to one of our 2 Fairy Godmothers.  You will be given a reward, and a raffle ticket, for helping us make sure our Fairy Frog is in residence.   A raffle winner will be drawn each day at 2:15 for a special prize.

     NH's First Lady Valerie Sununu invites you to join her at the festival on  Monday, Oct  9, 2017. She will  offer a special reading of Children of the Forest   by Elsa Beskow at 11:30 am and in the afternoon as her time allows

    Exeter Hospital Wellness Series
    We have partnered with Exeter Hospital to provide you with a series of wellness related events.

    Tentative schedule [Final approval occurs on 8/22]  is:

    • Tuesday August 28 1pm:  Herbal Teas, Health and Nutrition from the Garden  with John Forti, Ethnobotanist and Director of Bedrock Gardens
    • Thursday August 30 1pm:  Garden Therapy for Alzheimer's Patients and Caregivers with Lorraine Lee
    • Thursday Sept 6 1pm: Healthy Nature Play for Kids and Family with Nanci Helton, RN, and John Forti
    • Friday September 21 1pm:  Grief Walk - Solace In a Garden with Deb Addario, MSW, and Roz Novak-Houston, MSW
    • Thursday October 11 1pm: Garden of Joy, Garden of Grief, Gardening of the Soul with Ann Tarlton

    Yoga in the Garden
    Two Yoga groups will hold classes at Bedrock Gardens:
    • Symmetry Yoga , with Missi D'Arcy, offers classes in its studio in Lee. She will have two classes here, date and time to be determined. Part of the proceeds go to Bedrock Gardens, and part go to a nonprofit named for her deceased daughter to support parentless children.
    • Peace Tree Yoga, with Ruth Barski, offers classes in its studio in Northwood. She will be here DTA. Ruth is donating part of the fee to further Bedrock Gardens as a public garden. Thanks, Ruth!

    Herbal Teas, Health and Nutrition from the Garden
    ​Thursday in July, date to be determined

    with John Forti Ethnobotanist and Director of Bedrock Gardens.
    Crafting herbal teas from garden to teapot can be as healthful as sitting back and sipping on a cup of tea.  Join us to learn more about the process of planting a tea garden.  We will also explore the art of blending and preserving herbal teas from the garden, and hydrating with healthy, home grown alternatives.  The program includes a garden tour and a visit to our farm stand garden shop.

    With great thanks and appreciation to the Exeter Hospital's Art of Wellness grant for underwriting this free 2018 Wellness from the Garden Series at Bedrock Gardens!  ​

    ​Bedrock Gardens plans to be open to the public on Open Days only (schedule coming soon). 

    We plan to offer free Tours of the Garden on Open Days at 11am and 2pm. These will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable garden guide and plant person. A great way to learn about the garden.

    We plan to offer free Garden Art Tours  at 1 pm on Sunday Open Days . These Garden Art Tours cover an overview of Jill Nooney's garden sculptures, including inspirations, materials used, recurring themes, some quotes from the artist, and a focused look at more than 30 individual pieces throughout the garden.
