    2022

    A Great Year...

    To 2021
    To 2023

    First, there were People Changes:

    We hired five new exciting people;

    Picture
Jon ('I can do that') Harris, a very handy part time caretaker.
    Picture
Roanne Robbins, a naturalist, author and teacher, in charge of our education program.
    Picture
Here is Roanne at one of her teaching stations.
    Picture
Jodie Curtis, already busy with her shop in Kittery ('Yarrow') is our new Retail Manager.
    Picture
Carlina Dupere has come on board as a (almost) full time lead gardener.
    Picture
Cheryl Sullivan is our talented bookkeeper.

...and lost one. Bob Ely, a founding board member, died this year. His family donated a memorial bench in his name. We will miss him.

    Some major projects:

The brick court yard was completed.

    The Inukshuk was installed.

First, a small model was made.

Then a larger model was hung from the Baxis.

    A Special Project

Daniel Tauber, of Scouts Troop 164, needed a project for his Eagle Scout Award. We were lucky to have him decided to rehab Great Stakes, one of the art pieces in BG. The project was complicated, involving the planning, obtaining supplies, preparing the base, matching the paint, and assembling it.

Wood (donated by Ricky Stevens of Lee) was sanded, primed, painted with several coats.

    Animals

We love animals too, altho some (think deer) can cause management problems.
(We also saw a Bald Eagle in the Hickory near our house, but no picture.)
